The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has declared a one-month ceasefire from November 9.


According to the spokesman of the banned TTP, the ceasefire will be further extended with the consent of the parties and the parties must abide by the ceasefire.

The banned TTP said that the parties have agreed to set up negotiating committees, which will try to move forward with the next course of action and the negotiation process on the demands of the parties.


According to the banned TTP, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is playing the role of mediator in the negotiation process.


Earlier, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had said that the government of Pakistan and the banned TTP had agreed to a complete ceasefire.

He said that the ceasefire would be extended keeping in view the progress of the talks.


Fawad Chaudhry said that the interim government of Afghanistan played the role of facilitator in the talks, it is welcome that these areas of Pakistan are moving towards complete peace after a long time.
